My Adventures on Asteroid 5251, Part 5
Last time, I was contemplating whether the monster filled meteorites had anything to do with why this planet’s abandoned…
My Adventures on Asteroid 5251, Part 4
When we last left, I was starving and being chased by several spiders during the night with no chance of finding nearby shelter.
My Adventures on Asteroid 5251, Part 3
At the end of part 2 of my saga, I had just set off on a minecart track when I realized not all the track was there…
My Adventures On Asteroid 5251, Part 2
When we last left my handsome little avatar (he takes after me. :P), he was stuck across a giant cavern from where he felt he needed to be, and with no way down to the surface of this cavern. What should he do? Brave the lava and try to dig another tunnel around the edge? Jump and hope he survives?
My Adventures On Asteroid 5251, Part 1
Hello fellow gamers! Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be documenting my journey through this little MineCraft adventure map called Asteroid 5251. Sounds epic, right? It is, but I’m getting ahead of myself. As part of our weekly “Game On!” we’re playing through an Adventure map. But we only have one or two maps, so I went off in search of more. A quick Google search lands me at a MineCraft forum thread for a map called Asteroid 5251: A Medieval Space Epic. I scroll down, glance at screenshots; alright, I’ll bite. Little did I know what I was getting myself into…
The Adventures of Lam Laminaus, Intergalactic Suicidal Assassin Squid: Part 3
I previously alluded to the fact that the most common form of death in the X-Universe is death by incineration from plasma burst generators. Well the second most common death is due to overconfidence. In a regular style game, if you die, you can curse a few times and reload an earlier safe, hoping you didn’t lose too much progress. In a dead is dead game, if you die, its game over.
So here I am, hugging a space station for dear life while deadly combat drones buzz and swarm nearby trying to get some pot shots at me due to a moment of weakness and me being over confident. Look on the bright side, at least I’m not dead yet.

“Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.” – Douglas Adams
There are two rules to follow when dealing with a Teladi.
- Always assume they are cheating you in some way.
- See rule number 1.
Unfortunately, it has been a while since I dealt with them and I forgot those rules (excessive consumption of the Earth variant of space fuel probably didn’t help much either). So here I am, floating in my spacesuit in the middle of some random sector with a repair laser and very far away from Boron space. Damn those sneaky Teladi.

X3: Terran Conflict, or X3TC for short, is the latest game set in the X universe made by Egosoft. The best way to describe X3TC is a sandbox style free-roaming game in a universe that is connected by a series of jump gates. Although the player starts out small, they can eventually be in control of an empire that spans the entire known galactic space with fleets of ships and hundreds of sector spanning factory complexes. The last time I played X3TC was version 1.5. Since then, Egosoft has be steadily adding patches and content into the game, which is now up to version 3.1. Eager to jump in to discover the new missions and content, I’ve decided to fire up the game once again and log my adventure.

My journey through Aperture. Part III
Warning: Spoiler alert! If you haven’t played Portal 2 yet and you’re planning on playing it, I’d suggest you stop reading and play it first.
Welcome back to part III of my journey through Aperture. I was actually surprised how often I got stuck in Portal 2 compared to Portal 1. Nearly every chapter (of the nine in total) had one room that was giving me some trouble. Here’s a chronological overview of the rooms:
I didn’t spot that I could create a portal on the wall on the left.
My journey through Aperture. Part II
Warning: Spoiler alert! If you haven’t played Portal 2 yet and you’re planning on playing it, I’d suggest you stop reading and play it first.
I reckon most of the die-hard Portal fans had already seen the introduction, but Portal 2 starts with Chell waking up in a bedroom after being asleep for nine nine nine nine nine… well a long, long time!
